THE ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry has invited Zimbabweans living in Australia, investors and business leaders to attend the Zimbabwe Diaspora Investment and Business Opportunities Forum scheduled for July 10 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
The ministry said the forum would serve as a platform to showcase Zimbabwe’s investment prospects while strengthening economic ties with the Zimbabwean diaspora and the Australian business community.
The ministry said the event would provide an opportunity for participants to gain first-hand insight into the country’s growing investment landscape and explore opportunities across key economic sectors.
The ministry said engaging the diaspora remained an important component of Zimbabwe’s strategy to mobilise capital, skills, technology and international partnerships that can contribute to national development.
“Zimbabweans living abroad continue to play a significant role in supporting the country’s economy through investments, remittances and business linkages” the ministry added.
The investment forum forms part of Government efforts to market Zimbabwe as a competitive tourism and investment destination by creating direct engagement platforms with potential investors in strategic international markets.
