National Foods donates to orphanages, elderly

National Foods on Friday donated food hampers to a number of orphanages including old people’s homes in Bulawayo.

The company’s group human resources executive  Alice Pawakandira said they offered support to 46 centres across the country.

"These include orphanages, old age homes, vulnerable groups and hospitals,” Pawakandira said.

“National Foods seeks to plough back to the community within which the company operates to improve the social wellbeing of communities.”

Some of the beneficiaries included Jairo’s Jiri Center, Ekuphumuleni Old People’s Nursing Home, Isiah Children’s Home and SDA Queen Elizabeth’s Orphanage which has 33 children.
