Briefs: Mob kills suspected goat thief

Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware has since issued a warrant of arrest for Ncube.

A suspected goat thief was allegedly bashed to death by a mob of 15 people in Plumtree.

Fourteen of the suspects have since been arrested while one of the suspects, Thulani Ncube, is on the run after defaulting court.

Prosecutors alleged that on May 23, Bongani Elvis Ndlovu was accused of stealing a goat in Figtree and the mob caught him and severely assaulted him.

They left his lifeless body in a bush where a passer-by discovered it.

A police report was filed leading to the arrest of the suspects.
