Teenager kills man over girlfriend

Nature Ngwenya (18) appeared before at the Plumtree magistrates’ court last week facing a murder charge.

A Plumtree teenager alleged stabbed a man to death at a party in the border town following a dispute over a girlfriend.

Nature Ngwenya (18) appeared before at the Plumtree magistrates’ court last week facing a murder charge.

Ngwenya was not asked to plead to the charge and was remanded in custody to October 2.

Prosecutors alleged that on September  18 last year the suspect attended a party in Plumtree and started drinking beer with other people. 

Ngwenya saw the now deceased Njabulo Ncube drinking and dancing to music.

Ncube picked a girl at the party and started dancing with her and Ngwenya claimed she was his lover.

He dragged Ncube for a distance before stabbing him.
