SEASHAM coach Lizwe Sweswe has warned that his team is ready to derail Ngezi Platinum’s title aspirations as the two sides lock horns in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Baobab Stadium tomorrow.

Sheasham defeated title contenders Manica Diamonds 2-0 on Saturday to leap out of the relegation mud, though they are still not out of the woods.

Ngezi Platinum, meanwhile, suffered a shock defeat to Hwange at the Colliery Stadium on Sunday.

Although there is still more work to do for the Gweru-based side, the troop leader, former Bulawayo Chiefs tactician, is confident that his side has often done well against high-flying teams.

“We are at a point of no return. We cannot afford to drop points. Every game is now decisive.

“We managed to beat Manica, a team that has been exceptionally good this season. Then nothing can stop us from doing the same against Ngezi Platinum,” Sweswe said.

“The only thing we must focus on is converting what we get. Every one wants to get the job done and we are so focused on the meeting which we know is going to need us to dig deeper.

With 34 points on their tally, Sweswe and his men need to win at least three of their remaining four matches to be guaranteed of safety.

They face Ngezi Platinum tomorrow at the Baobab Stadium, followed by a date with ZPC Kariba at home.

Afterwards, they will face fellow strugglers Black Rhinos before ending their maiden Premier Soccer League campaign with a date against FC Platinum.
