“The club has recorded some departures during the January transfer window. The contracts of Luka Chamanga and Raphael Mala Makubuli expired and were not extended,” the statement read.

ZAMBIAN Super League giants Power Dynamos have parted ways with former Highlanders and FC Platinum marksman Thomas Chideu after just one season.

The striker is one of the players on a long list of players whom they have released.

Chideu, who still had a contract with the club, agreed to a mutual separation.

The 27-year-old has been in Zambia since 2021 when he joined Forest Rangers. He switched to join Power Dynamos in January 2023, but it appears he did not live up to their expectations.

The club confirmed his departure in a statement released yesterday.

“The club has recorded some departures during the January transfer window. The contracts of Luka Chamanga and Raphael Mala Makubuli expired and were not extended,” the statement read.

“Striker Thomas Chideu and midfielder Biston Banda left the team on mutual separation.”
