Bosso rejects make beeline for Sheasham

Sheasham are seeking a quick return to the Premier Soccer League after they were relegated last season despite making a massive investment into the club, including constructing a stadium.

AFTER being thrust into the wilderness by Highlanders, dimunitive mindfielder Ray Lunga has surfaced at Zifa Central Region Division One side Sheasham where he is trying his luck.

Lunga was released by Bosso last week after they resolved against renewing his contract which expired on December 31, 2023.

Lunga is linking up with former teammate at Highlanders, Rahman Kutsanzira who has already signed for the Gweru-based club.

Other players who were released by Highlanders together with Lunga and Kutsanzira are Stanley Ngala and Washington Navaya.

Lunga featured for the Construction Boys during a friendly match against league champions Ngezi Platinum Stars last week.

Lunga is leaving his boyhood club Highlanders where he made his senior debut in 2017 under then coach Elroy Akbay.

Meanwhile, Sheasham are also looking to lure former Warriors midfielder Butholezwe Ncube who has been clubless since being offloaded by AmaZulu of South Africa.

Former Nichrut speedster Sherphard Sithole has also surfaced at the club, hoping to revive his career.
