DeMbare drop points again

Coach Genesis Mangombe believes his team is playing well and blamed it on silly goals once again like he did when Dynamos lost to Bosso.

DYNAMOS...(1) 2

HWANGE...(0) 2

DYNAMOS' Donald Dzvinyai will rue his defensive blunder minutes before the final whistle after he shot past his own goalkeeper to deny his side a win against a resilient Hwange at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday.

All looked set for Dynamos to walk way with three points until the 71st minute when Dzvinyai scored an own goal as the Glamour Boys were leading 2-1 for the coalminers to cancel the deficit and pick up a point from the exciting encounter.

Impresive midfielder Tanaka Shandirwa, who missed last week's game against Highlanders, due to family commitments played a blinder for DeMbare but had to be pulled out in the 68th minute.

Shandirwa set up Donald Mudadi in the 28th minute for DeMbare's first goal from a move initiated by Emmanuel Paga.

Paga then got the second for the Glamour Boys in the 51st minute from a free-kick after Keith Madera was brought down outside the box, beating Hwange goalkeeper Willington Muuya all systems out.

Against the run of play, right on the hour mark, Hwange scored through Marceline Mlilo as they hoped to get the equaliser.

And they did it in the 71st minute from the Dzvinyai gaffe with Dynamos under attack from determined Hwange for the sides to settle for a draw.

Dynamos have one point in their second match this season after losing to Highlanders last week and Hwange are on four following their win over Yadah last week.

Coach Genesis Mangombe believes his team is playing well and blamed it on silly goals once again like he did when Dynamos lost to Bosso.

"As for today im not very much worried. My worry is we lost a game that we could have won because we were leading by two goals. Maybe they need to have some patience and they will make it in the third game. "I was thinking we were going to win this one. I was thinking we were going to add another goal so that we silence them, but its a game of football and some of the unfortunate things can happen. Shandirwa, who was doing all the dirty work in midfield got injured. At times you are forced to make those decisions, hence we lost the cohesion and the rhythm. Its a game of football," Mangombe said.

His opposite number Nation Dube was happy with the draw.

"It was a big game for my boys that we nearly gave away. We gave them space and time in the first half. But in the second half I told my boys, lets go on them one on one and it paid," Dube said.

Dynamos had to be rewarded after a good start to the game and had the edge over Hwange with Nomore Chinyerere getting a chance in the third minute, but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Wellington Muuya.

In the 15th minute, Paga's header was saved by Muuya with the Hwange defence caught in sixes and sevens as Dynamos continued with their onslaught.

The match was delayed for over half 30 minutee due to a clash of kits as Hwange put on a red kit and Dynamos goalkeeper Martin Mapisa also put on red jersey and the away team Hwange had to change to black and red after consultation with the relevant authorities.

Dynamos threw everything at Hwange until the end of the game, but would not get the desired goals.
