South Africa-based charismatic preacher William Chapanduka has released a single track titled Nyika Yenyu, a prayer to God in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Masvingo-born preacher, who leads Christ Resurrection Ministry (CRM), said the song is meant to comfort those hit by the disease as well as calling for God’s intervention.
“The song is a Covid-19 prayer to the Lord. As a Pastor, I have always known that in difficult times one has to call upon the Lord for intervention. The song is a prayer and a source of comfort to everyone that has been affected by Covid-19, a deadly virus that has killed millions of people across the world,” he said.
The track was done by T-Fresh Bits in South Africa where he has been residing since 2006.
Chapanduka’s church is home to the famous CRM Praise, a gospel music outfit that is known for its praise and worship prowess.
CRM Praise has recorded two albums to date.
The 41-year-old has worked with a number of musicians and pastors back home among them former Orchestra Mberikwazvo drummer Obert Gomba.
