The 19-year-old beauty shrugged off competition from 14 other contestants to clinch the title.

Siduduzile Ndlovu (19) and Sumien Li-Rae Fortune were crowned first and second princess respectively while Rumbidzai Takavada was crowned Miss Personality.

Primrose was ecstatic after winning.

“I am so happy. I was not expecting this. It is such an honour,” she said.

The beauty has now set her sights on Miss Bulawayo.

The winners walked away with cash prizes and hampers from the sponsors Esats, Food Express and Logic Hair Salon, which will be doing the girls’ hair and nails.

Many girls who walked on the ramp were first-time models, but went beyond expectations suprising the judges and revellers.

The pageant was organised by PAC Model Management, which consists of Patrenella Ndlovu (20), Anittah Neshiri (20) and Chantel Georg (21). “We congratulate the winners and the others who did not make it. Everyone is a winner to us,” Georg said.

Ndlovu said: “We are over the moon about the contest and hope it will go a long way in establishing our own modelling agency.”

Entertainment was provided by local musicians POY and Masimba and kwaito group Izikhothane.
