It will be run by a team that comprises Angela Mpofu Lion and Katherine Sithole. “We can confirm that the spot will reopen on Wednesday and the new Safari Bar and Grill will be more jazz-oriented and will be a place for the mature to socialise without any disturbances,” Lion said.

“After conducting a couple of house parties in Hillside that went well and attracted a large audience, we thought of introducing that feeling of maturity to the city,” Sithole added.

The new-look bar and grill, located opposite Rainbow Hotel at corner 10th Avenue and Josiah Tongogara Street, is targeting middle class and mature revellers.

“The mature and old will have fun and do business in a calm environment without too much noise.

“It will not be an overcrowded place and there will be no loud music. It will just be a place to relax in” Sithole said. The managers also promised nothing but international standards in their service.

“We are also happy to be part of the development of the city and also creating employment,” they added.
