Moyo and Samson scored 44 points, but won on count-out in a tightly contested four-ball bettter-ball competition which attracted 100 players from around the country.

The Harare pair of Levy Makishoni and Stanley Mubvunzi as well as Pankas Thaker and Ravindra Rama from Bulawayo, were some of golfers who amassed 44 points, but lost on count-out.

Samson and Moyo were ecstatic on emerging winners of the competition.

“It is my first time to play at this course in Bulawayo. I was surprised when I saw my name on the scoreboard that I was one of prize winners. I enjoyed myself though,” Samson said after receiving his prize.

Moyo thanked NetOne for the tournament as well as BGC for organising the competition. Excelling golfers in the tournament were awarded various prizes.

Benard Muchabaiwa from Chinhoyi came first in the individual stapleford format with 41 points followed by Constance Mashiri from Harare and Makishoni on 39 and 37 points respectively.

NetOne marketing manager Ellen Muchemwa paid tribute to golfers for taking part in the tournament.

“On behalf of NetOne, I would like to thank all our customers for honouring our invitation to play in this tournament.

“This evening we will award golfers that played exceptionally well on this course. At a NetOne-sponsored golf tournament we only have winners.

“Your victory is just delayed. We set this as a platform for you to network, update you on what is taking place within your network which we are stewards of in making sure that we provide the service you cherish,” she said.
