Morocco in Group D with the Warriors, will play South Africa next month while yesterday Uganda confirmed a date with Iraq on October 2.

Most African countries will be involved in friendlies next month and November when the final qualifying rounds of the 2014 World Cup, involving 10 countries, take place.

The Warriors are also banking on playing in the West African Football Union tournament in November as part of coach Ian Gorowa’s preparations for his debut in the Chan finals.

The coach is in South Africa, finalising the programme which he hopes to present to Zifa anytime soon.

Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela, however, yesterday said something was being worked out: “We are working on something and we are optimistic we would arrange a friendly.”
