The two musicians collaborated on a track titled Ingoma which was released last Friday.

In an interview with Southern Eye Lifestyle Dj Stavo spoke boldly on the track and said he knows it is going to be big.

“Me and Shota knew and believed that the track is going to be huge, and it will take off in Zimbabwe and South Africa if not Africa.

“I spent a week in the studio with Shota, he really loved the beat that I had made,” Dj Stavo said.

Ingoma is a dance house track that talks of just playing the music, having fun in a responsible manner and enjoying life to the fullest.

“The track is a house and dance song which will go down well in clubs as well. Sometime this year we will drop its video,” Dj Stavo said.

The Kwekwe Hustler, as Dj Stavo is affectionately known, added that Shota was happy to work with him.

“He (Shota) was excited and he really enjoyed my attitude and professionalism towards my work and same-wise he is very talented and professional, I really learnt a lot from him about the industry and studio work,” Dj Stavo said.

“We went into the studio with an intention to make a hit track and I think we have achieved that and this is a good thing and the future is looking good for Zimbabwean music,” Dj Stavo added.

Dj Stavo said his fans were happy with his progress.

“They really appreciate my works and are happy with my progress and noticing that I am not messing around, I’m here to stay and make this music industry work.

“Not only that I have grown to love to work with South African artistes. They have also grown to love and appreciate my works and Shota is the third musician I have worked with after Mandoza and Lolo,” Dj Stavo said.

Dj Stavo produced Mnandi with Mandoza. The video plays on Channel O, with Wena Wedwa featuring Lolo and also YOLO which featured Trevor Dongo and Sweet Love with Roki, Ex Q, Botswana’s Simple Night and Zeus.
