GWERU — Stand-up comedian, Carl Joshua Ncube will host a one-man comedy show at the Village Lodge on November 12.

This will be the first time that Ncube will come to the Midlands capital Gweru for a high profile show.

Ncube confirmed to Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday that he would stage a show in Gweru next Tuesday.

“It is part of my nationwide tour and right now I am in Mutare and will be coming to Gweru on November 12. This is the first time that I will be performing in Gweru and people should come in their numbers for one of the biggest comedy show in the city,” he said.

The comedian has travelled across the globe, where he has left many asking for more through his hilarious jokes and humorous short stories.

Ncube, who has been described by CNN African Voices as the “new face of Zimbabwean comedy” broke into the comedy scene with a first appearance one-man show Carl Joshua Ncube’s Big Announcement.

He is famed for drawing huge crowds to his shows and has established Simuka Comedy with other upcoming comics.

Carl Joshua has performed in neighbouring South Africa with leading comedians like Dave Levinsohn and Mel Miller.
