Ngodzo, who left Highlanders to join the Zvishavane side FC Platinum, is eyeing a return to the Bulawayo giants this season.

Southern Eye Sport caught up with the midfielder to find out the latest on his intended move back to Highlanders.

“I have been negotiating with the Highlanders secretary Andrew Tapela, but I have not yet signed. They are offering me a two-year deal, but I have conditions that I would be happy if they were met before I signed.

“I want to sign the two-year contract, but I want Bosso to give me money for a year then they can give me the rest after,” he said.

“I will be happy to come back home and play for Bosso. I am here for serious business. I want to make the fans happy and I believe that if I play well for Bosso I can get the chance to go to and play for a South African team for a start. I am promising the best to the Bosso family.”

The former Under-23 star says he can’t wait to get started.

“If I sign in the morning then I will start training in the afternoon. I’m ready for the challenge and I’m looking forward to the season,” he said.

Ngodzo left Bosso at the end of the 2010 season alongside his brother Zephaniah to join FC Platinum.

However, he has had little game time often coming in as a substitute under Lloyd Mutasa and together with Charles Sibanda were considering retracing their steps back to the City of Kings.

Their former teammate at Platinum, Welcome Ndiweni, has already signed a two-year deal with Bosso, with former Shabanie Mine attacking midfielder Valentine Ndaba. Sibanda’s move is just as good as done if he does not move abroad.

Bosso could see forceful striker Njabulo “Tshiki” Ncube moving in the opposite direction as he seeks a final retirement pension.

Ncube, who was the top goalscorer for Bosso last season had penned a one-year deal which expired on December 31.

FC Platinum president George Mawere said they were interested in the Bosso striker.

“Njabulo Ncube was in our wish-list, but I’m not sure whether we still need him. For more details get in touch with our media liaison officer Chido Chizondo,” he said.

Efforts to get a comment from Chizondo were fruitless as she could not be reached on her mobile phone.

Tshiki might return to Bosso as FC Platinum have released their squad which is in Kariba for a training camp.

Triangle was reported to be after the signature of the former Railstars and Motor Action striker.

Erick Mudzingwa, Milton Ncube, Peter Moyo and goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya, in South Africa with the Warriors for the African Nations Championships (Chan) are some of the players whose contracts expired on December 31.

Diya has had trials with Golden Arrows in SA and could move after the Chan finals while Milton and Moyo are yet to renew their contracts. Moyo has also gone for trials with Bidvest Wits in SA.
