Morgan Nemadire from the Chizhou area of Chirumanzu allegedly raped the girl sometime in June 2012.

It is the State’s case that on June 26 2012 teachers where the girl was doing Grade Zero gathered the children together before they knocked off from school.

The teachers told the children to move in groups since there were reports of “rapists” waylaying schoolchildren and wild animals in the area.

One boy told the teachers that he had done “shameful things” with the girl and when they asked the little girl about it, she told them that she had been raped by her grandfather and another uncle.

The teachers told the school head on July 4 and when the girl repeated the same story to her, a police report was made.

The girl was referred to Driefontein for medical examination where it was confirmed that she had been sexually abused.

The trial continues today.
