HARARE City Football Club chairman Leslie Gwindi is racing against time as he has until Monday to meet conditions set by the Zifa disciplinary committee following his ban for bringing the game of football into disrepute. TAWANDA TAFIRENYIKA SPORTS CORRESPONDENT
Gwindi was banned from football for five years, three wholly suspended and one year struck off if he pays a $6 000 fine and another suspended if he issued a public apology to Zifa, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and Delta Beverages.
He was given two weeks to meet the conditions and could find himself serving the alternative sentence in the event that he fails to meet those conditions within the stipulated period.
The two weeks elapse on Monday.
Zifa legal advisor Ralph Maganga yesterday said Gwindi would serve the alternative sentence if he fails to meet the set conditions.
