Speaking at President Robert Mugabe’s 90th birthday celebrations in Marondera, the Spirit Embassy founder said his father was a Zanu PF member.
He said: “I know things will be written like ‘Angel swallowed by Zanu PF’ as if they know where I was before.”
Angel’s sister Mercy Madzanire Nongera failed in her bid to represent Masvingo Central constituency in the parliamentary seat after she lost the MDC-T primary elections last year.
Angel rose to prominence after he started claiming that he could make money appear in people’s bank accounts and pockets through prayer.
He does not shy away from flaunting his wealth and has a big following in Harare.
