Mataro said the series was meant to celebrate ordinary Zimbabweans doing amazing work that inspire other people.

“As a filmmaker, I understand the value of talent, I know that without it, it is impossible to make films. In fact, talent is imperative to the realisation of any occupation, ambition and dream,” Mataro said.

“The world’s greatest achievers are individuals who cultivated their talent until they became skills through which they now make millions or billions of dollars, but talent alone is not enough. And when it is not developed it yields little or nothing.

“It is important to showcase and celebrate people and organisations whose exemplary activities can be role models that propel our country to prosperity.”

The series will be hosted by Midlands State University student Francesca Williams — a budding television host.

“Talent is nurtured. All the big stars were once unknown, but when talent is exposed it becomes great, thus the idea of working with an inexperienced host. So if you are a super Zimbabwean your story deserves to be told,” he added.

The 34-year-old is a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist church. He was born in Gweru and grew up in Bulawayo.

Mataro has many film productions under his belt such as High School Confessions, among others.
