AFTER six rounds of league matches, AmaZulu find themselves with the distinction of being the only team in the top-flight that is yet to win a match.

In 540 minutes of trying, Usuthu are yet to collect first maximum points this season.

Craig Roslee’s charges have also conceded six goals in their last three matches against Bloemfontein Celtic, Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City.

AmaZulu are bottom of the log with three points – 15 behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Reflecting on their performance, AmaZulu assistant coach Wilfred Mugeyi told KickOff.com that the club’s technical team was concerned with the number of mistakes being made by players.

“If you look at the number of errors we made in that game (against Polokwane City) then you would see that we should have won that match,” Mugeyi told KickOff.com.

The game, played on Saturday, finished in a 2–2 draw.

“We have to convert most of the chances that we create during matches. We could have scored more goals, but our strikers let us down.

“Our defenders were not at their best because individual mistakes cost us. We really must work on our finishing and keeping it tight at the back,” he added.

Mugeyi said while it is “too early” to worry about relegation, he called upon players to pull up their socks.

“It is up to everyone to seriously look at how we can improve. We do not want to look back towards the end of the season with a number of regrets.

“During the coming days, we will be focusing on eliminating mistakes by making sure we tighten up and rectify our weak areas,” the coach explained.
