Midlands State University (MSU) law students have won in the national finals of the Humanitarian Law Moot Court competition held at the High Court in Harare on October 9.

by Stephen Chadenga The MSU team, which comprised three law students in their first, third and fourth year, respectively, beat defending champions, the University of Zimbabwe, to clinch first position.

The team will represent Zimbabwe and compete with other universities from Africa at the continental law competitions to be held later this year.

“The Midlands State University Moot Court team put up a sterling performance at the national finals of the International Humanitarian Law Moot Court competition, held on Friday October 9, 2015 at the High Court in Harare,” MSU said on its official website.

“The team comprising Nonhlanhla Ndlovu, a level 4:1 student, Tatenda Brian Madziba, a level 3:2 student, and Sandra Fungai Kabaya, a level 1:2 student, beat defending champions, University of Zimbabwe, to emerge as the 2015 champions and will now represent Zimbabwe at the African Moot Court competition to be held later in the year.”
