SHABANIE Mine’s recent fairy tale run in the BancABC Sup8r seems to have paid off handsomely, with sponsors of the competition offering to give them a sponsorship package.

The Chinda Boys will meet cross-town rivals FC Platinum in the final after they knocked out league leaders Dynamos in the semi-final.
The final will take place at Mandava Stadium on September 21. BancEASY managing director Desmond Ali told this publication that they will donate a kit to the Chinda Boys.
“We will sponsor Shabanie with a kit for their matches,” he said. “We are not giving them any other sponsorship package save for the kit.
“The deal will be reminiscent to that of Tripple B where we just gave them a full kit.
“We are just assisting them; it is not the road to full sponsorship,” Ali said.
Although Ali denied that they are going to sponsor Shabanie Mine, sources close claim to the contrary.

“They (Shabanie Mine) might soon get a full sponsorship from BancABC and they might just get it,” the source said.
