The chief executive officer (CEO) of Heath Streak Initiative, Joseph Rego, confirmed yesterday that Bulawayo would soon witness a world-class sporting facility in the Streak Cricket Academy.

He said the lease for the facility was signed yesterday morning.

“The ‘Notarial Long-Lease’, which enters Heath Streak Consultancy&Sports Development into a partnership long-lease agreement with MacDonald Sports Club for a period of 30 years extendable every 10 years thereafter, was drawn by prominent Bulawayo lawyer Bruce Longhurst and finalised by MacDonald Club’s Board trustee David Riley and Heath Streak”, Rego said. “The lease was signed on Monday (yesterday) 16th September in the presence of the notary and will be sent to the city council for the registration process.”

The Heath Streak Consultancy&Sports Development was launched last month at a local hotel after the fourth one-day international between India and Zimbabwe, played at the Queens Sports Club on August 1.
