Meli Tshuma and Mfula Moyo of Totobisa Social Club outclassed Railstars’ Maclean Chirwa and George Nyathi in the final of the Townshend and Butcher doubles darts tournament held at the Bulawayo Darts Club on Saturday.

Tshuma and Moyo pocketed $80 for winning the tournament while the losing finalists Chirwa and Nyathi got $60.
Chirwa and Nyathi who play for the league title contenders Railstars, went down 1-2 to Tshuma and Moyo in the final.
Sikhumbuzo Muzondiwa grabbed a $15 incentive for his first bull close while Bellevue’s Nhlanhla Sibanda got $10 for scoring the first 180.
The provincial league secretary Lethukuthula Nkomo said the tournament was a success and registered a very good turnout.
“The tournament was a success especially to Highlanders who managed to scout a player and it received a good turnout, we saw the participation of 34 doubles which is a good number,” Nkomo said.
Meli Tshuma who impressed most league clubs might be joining Highlanders before the end of the season.

Sikhulile Sibanda, the Highlanders Darts Club vice-captain, impressed by Tshuma’s game, said his inclusion in the team might be a boost to the club.
“He is a good player and I believe he is someone who can bring life to the club.
“We definitely need such players,” Sibanda said.
