On Saturday, Sungura artist, Suluman Chimbetu will perform at the Midlands Hotel at a concert organised by the Midlands Youth Empowerment group.

Sulu will join hands with music group Mafriq, led by ex-wife to popular urban groover Roki Pauline Gundidza, at a concert that will be punctuated by a workshop for youths on entrepreneurship.

Youth and Indigenisation minister Francis Nhema will be the guest of honour at the occasion.

On the same day dance queen, Beverly Sibanda, aka Bev, and the Sexy Angels will perform at Salaco City in Mtapa suburb.

Bev will be supported in her act by local chanter Shiga Shiga who recently joined her group from Energy Mutodi. The two collaborated on Bev’s album Tapinda.

Salaco City manager Langton Nyashanu said his club decided to bring Bev after repeated calls from patrons at the bar.

“We are responding to fans’ request that popular dancers come to the City of Progress. The stage has been set and Bev will rock Mtapa suburb,” Nyashanu said.

After performances by Sulu and Bev, Sunday will be family time as South African musician, Freddy Gwala will be collaborating with superstar Oliver Mutukudzi and Jah Prayzah for a family show at the Liquid Lounge.
