The Emakhandeni Cricket Club has launched a Ladies’ Night event every Thursday.

AS part of efforts to liven night life in the dull and quiet high-density suburbs in and around Emakhandeni in Bulawayo, the Emakhandeni Cricket Club has launched a Ladies’ Night event every Thursday.

The inaugural Ladies’ Night show was launched last week at a function attended by the who’s who in the local entertainment industry. Phathisani Nkomo, the proprietor of Emakhandeni Cricket Club, who also runs the The Lounge Bar and Restaurant, yesterday said the introduction of the Ladies’ Night show at the club would revolutionarise night life in and around the suburb.

“We will be bringing something new and different to the high-density suburb. It has been long since we gave residents there a treat,” Nkomo said.

“We noticed there was nothing going on there and we felt we were shortchanging the people.

“The Ladies’ Night will be a good event for party lovers every Thursday. The nights will be fun-filled with music, dance and a lot of promotions for the patrons,” he added.

On the night of the launch, revellers were treated to a lot of surprises, among them free T-shirts, caps, cooler bags, jackets and drinks.
