CHESWA Kasomo a local up-and-coming artiste has released a debut album titled The Conception.

The 10-track album was recorded in Zambia and Zimbabwe and released in Lusaka last month.
Four tracks, Mama, Summer Time, Who is Better Than Me and Going with Me, were recorded in Zambia while the remaining six-tracks were recorded in Bulawayo at a local studio, under the guidance of DJ Face.
The Zambian-born artiste said the album was released last month in Zambia and has been played at various entertainment spots.
Kasomo said he was looking forward to the album appealling to local youth since his target audiences are the youth.
Before the release of the debut album, Kasomo leaked one of his single tracks to the public titled ILife Kalova also a club hit.
“When I had composed seven tracks in June this year, I leaked one of the tracks to the public so as to gauge my worth in the music industry. I was happy with the response my song received from listeners. Now that I have completed the album I hope my music will continue to appeal to many people in the country,” he said.

Kasomo’s music is composed in Ndebele, Shona, Bemba and Nyanja. The album is a mixture of kwaito and hip-hop.
He revealed yesterday that he was now working on the modalities of sending the album to various radio stations in the country so that his music could receive airplay.
Kasomo started singing when he was at school. He used to do underground tracks with his colleagues before he went solo.
Although born in Zambia, Kasomo grew up in Hwange. He did secondary education at Plumtree High School.
