According to a police source, the man was arrested at his rural home in Lupane.

“It’s true that we have arrested a man in Lupane in connection with the murder,” a police source said yesterday. “He was a person who worked at Winter Block Farm where the crime was committed. He fled from his workplace after committing the murders and went to his rural home in Lupane. He was arrested last night (Tuesday).”

The two bodies were discovered on Monday by Nkomo’s son Kembo in the company of Ndabazelizwe Ncube who had gone to visit Paddock CSC at Winterblock Farm in Insuza.

On arrival they found that the workers were not at the farm.

However, they sensed a strong smell of something rotting coming from the septic tank which was a few metres away from the farm house.

They opened the septic tank and discovered two human bodies which were partially submerged and at an advanced stage of decomposition.

They reported the matter to Insuza police who attended the scene.
