FC Platinum’s Michelle Katsvairo scored probably the fasted goal of the season when he tapped in Charles Sibanda’s cross 30secs into the match in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Mandava Stadium yesterday.

The goal, however, came with a price for the platinum miners as Winston Mhango was injured in an off-the-ball incident by Shabanie goalkeeper Victor Twaliki while celebrating the goal.

With the win FC Platinum increased their point tally to 45, the same with third-placed Dynamos, but remain static on position four due to a inferior goal difference.

FC Platinum coach Llyod Mutasa was a relieved man after the match having lost to the same opponents twice this season.

“I am pleased we won this match because Shabanie have beaten us twice this season,” he said Shabanie Mine coach Luke Masomere blamed the loss on the team’s preparations as the players boycotted camp on the eve of the match in protest over remuneration.
