BULAWAYO cricket clubs will battle it out in the new monthly Trade Journal Cricket tourney set to begin next month.

Trade Journal projects manager Geoffrey Moyo confirmed that at least four clubs will take part in the inaugural event set for December 6-8 at Queens Sports Club.
“The Trade journal Cricket tournament is an initiative by Trade Journal advertising agency. The tournament will be played on a monthly basis starting from next month and so far we have three clubs that have confirmed participation,” Moyo said.
Three local clubs Roosters, Queens and Emakhandeni cricket clubs will make it to the tournament while Christian Brothers College and Petra High School are yet to confirm their participation.
“The aim of this tournament is to create a platform for the young stars in Bulawayo and expose them into the industry so that one day they could fulfil their dreams of playing for the national team.
“We believe that if this tournament is to be played on a monthly basis, it will keep them focused and at the end of the day they could achieve their objectives,” Moyo said.
