I, therefore, suggest that you start as a customer first before joining the multi-level marketing (MLM) company so that you may have an opportunity to use the products/services and consequently develop a deep belief in the effectiveness of the products.

That can make it easy for you to bond with the MLM company you are just about to join. Step 2 Read the company policy

Studying your company policy helps you to know how the company operates.

It also gives you a clear picture about the incentives you may qualify for and the criteria you should meet in order to qualify for those incentives.

Step 3 Set your goals and state why you want to achieve those goals?

It is extremely important to set the goals because they clearly show you the final destination you want to reach through your business.

You should create both short-term and long-term goals. Don’t forget to keep on reading your goals on a daily basis as this acts as a constant reminder about the dreams you want to achieve.

Step 4 Develop a game plan

Set up strategy (ie a system) that will define what you shall be doing on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to achieve your goals.

In your game plan, you should include information about how you will get new customers, sponsor new distributors and how much time you are allocating for your business on a daily basis.

There are so many Internet- based strategies you may use to entice people to voluntarily give you their contact details.

Step 6 Set up your own website

Creating your own website is a plus to your credibility ranking, besides, a website helps you to generate a huge number of free leads online and you may easily convert those leads into customers and business partners.

However, the ball is in your court.

You just have to decide what’s best for you, but don’t regret when you get “overtaken” by those distributors in your MLM company who would have taken advantage of the leverage provided by the Internet.

Step 7 Read network marketing books and also study about sales, marketing and leadership skills

So read all MLM books, watch DVDs and any material relevant to sales and marketing and personal development.

Therefore, you have to develop an effective follow-up system that will help you to keep in touch with your prospects so that eventually, when they are ready to buy from you, they will automatically do so because of the sound business relationship you have built and nurtured through your effective follow-up campaign.

Sponsoring of new distributors is the life blood of a successful business.

So as a founder of your business, it is a must to set a standard for your team members by personally sponsoring large numbers of new distributors into your business opportunity.

Never depend on your team members to do the recruiting for you because this creates disequilibrium in your business leading to failure.
