Highlanders players and coaches yesterday took time off from their intensive pre-season physical training at former Zimbabwe cricket team captain’s Heath Streak’s Entokozweni Safaris in Inyathi for get together with the local community.
Community leaders led by Highlanders board member Luke Mnkandla organised a braai and drinks for the players preparing for the 2014 Premier Soccer League season. Mnkandla is Streak’s neighbour.
Those who attended the event included Bubi MP Clifford Sibanda and Ward 23 councillor Panny Irene Khupe.
Bosso board members including chairman Mgcini Nkolomi, executive committee member Charles “SixOne” Moyo and members of the technical team, assistant coach Mark Mathe, his predecessor Bekithemba “Super” Ndlovu, goalkeepers’ coach Peter “Oxo” Nkomo, welfare manager Willard Mashinkila-Khumalo, kit manager Vezigama Dlodlo and team doctor Loyal Nyika also attended.
