The event that showcased Bulawayo-based disc jockey talents on the turntables — was attended by more than hundreds revellers.

First on stage was Dj Mindlos and his crew who opened up the event at 10.30pm with a splash — the energetic DJs playing Zimbabwe dancehall music for 30 minutes. After them another set of eight DJs spun the wheels for 30 minutes, playing different genrés, much to the delight of revellers that packed Club Forty-40.

Speaking to the Southern Eye Lifestyle, entertainment manager for Club Forty-40, Sibanengi Ndebele, aka Dj Mzoe, said the function lived up to expectations, particularly judging from the attendance.

“The mixture of upcoming and old DJs started with laptop DJs then deck DJs had to perform later,” he said.

Dj Mzoe said plans were afoot to stage a similar event next month.

“The 30 DJs performed well and the fans liked this event which wowed a huge crowd. We want to do the same show every month so that every Bulawayo–based DJ may get a chance to be exposed to such crowds and showcase their talent,” he added.
