(2) 5 They are still yet to taste defeat in their opening six matches in their debut season. They defeated Dynamos and Harare City with identical 1-0 scorelines and drew with both Buffaloes and FC Platinum on 0-0 identical scorelines.

The Saul Chaminuka-coached side then forced a one-all stalemate against fading Harare giants Caps United recently, who received a 0-4 hiding from Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday.

ZPC turned on the power with a sublime performance from double scorer midfieder Rapheal Manuvire and former Triangle player Limited Chikafa.

Triangle started on a promising note with former ZPC Kariba player Tinei Chitora terrorising his opposition markers and just nine minutes into the match he whipped a magnificent cross that was firmly nodded home by striker Courage Denias.

Two minutes later Chitora returned to haunt the visitors when he sliced his way through the opposition markers before sending an inviting cross that was, however, miscued by Denias.

In the 19th minute, Triangle winger Lameck Nhamo, who is fizzling out with each game, saw his pile driver saved by the impressive ZPC Kariba shot-stopper Tendai Hove.

ZPC’s first shot on target came in the 22nd minute when Tawanda Nyamandwe’s shot from an acute angle inside the box was parried away for a corner-kick by Triangle goalminder Ashley Reyners. The visitors equalised in the 28th minute through Chikafa who headed home a Manuvire free-kick.

Two minutes later Manuvire threaded a through pass into the path of Pride Tafirenyika who slotted home to silence the home fans.

ZPC Kariba held to their slender lead into the second half of the match.
