THE national Under-14 rugby team to represent the country at this year’s Under-14 Craven Week tournament was selected over the weekend with Harare’s St John’s students dominating the squad.
The team was selected at the Old Mutual national Under-14 schools trials tournament that was held at Falcon College on Saturday.
This year’s Craven Week tournament squad will be held in Durban from June 30 to July 5.
St John’s College provided nine of the 21 selected players.
Four players were put on standby.
Teams who participated at the Under-14 national finals included Harare North, Harare South, Matabeleland, Midlands and a select team – a team constituted of players who had previously been chosen to play at the trial from a talent identification perspective.
