Sibanengi Ndebele, aka DJ Mzoe, the entertainment manager at Club Forty-40 confirmed the show yesterday.

“This will be one of the best shows ever to be staged in Bulawayo as these two outfits will be having their first-time splash here and we are the first club to host them. This is just a splash not a competition.

“They will be showing us what they do in Harare and fans should expect fireworks and latest Zimdancehall and reggae tunes. This time we decided to bring a new flavour to the city as we are used to bring in Legendary Sound splash with Judgment Yard which were bred from Red Fox Sounds.”

The two outfits are expected to perform from 8pm until the wee hours of Saturday.

Local DJs Mzoe, Ally Touch, Fritz, Ericado and Theo would warm up the decks ahead of the Harare–based disc jockeys.

Local artistes, Centre Party, Major and Khoi Khoi will perform and get a chance to rub shoulders with the outfits.

In an interview, chief DJ of Red Fox Sound and Kudzai Ngandu, aka DJ Izy Vybz, said they were happy to come and entertain Bulawayo.

“We are honoured to entertain our fans in Bulawayo as it is the second time to perform at Club Forty-40. This time we will be having a back-to-back with Legendary Sound as we push our show schedule for August, with our brothers Black Supremacy from Kenya in Bulawayo,” he said.

“We will give away mixed tapes from the carnival show where we launched our new slogan Hakuna Asina Zvipande. We will be selling the documentary as well.”

They will bring brand new reggae tunes from Mavado, Mad Cobra and a new artiste introduced by Red Fox Sound called Alkaline. DJ Izy Vybz praised Bulawayo and the support they have been given.

“Bulawayo feels like my second home. I am over the hills to DJ again in Bulawayo,” he said.

Legendary Sound consists of DJ Madvancho, Smylie and dancers Sizzler and Bobby while Red Fox Family Sound is the host Family at Red Fox Hotel in Harare where Judgment Yard and Legendary Sound play.

It is headed by Robert Zhuwao and comprises one of Harare’s finest dancehall mix masters DJ Izy VYBZ, Mc Smallz, DJ Doc and Mc Prophet.
