Black Uhuru spreads wings

ENTUMBANE entertainment ensemble Black Uhuru will tomorrow perform at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre in an effort to widen their support base in the city.

The group comprises disc jockeys, dancers and singers.

“We are hosting this show ourselves and have invited other upcoming artistes like Junior Peace, Bricksman and Fireman to support our act,” said event organiser Mduduzi Ncube aka DJ Sporo.

“Our group composes songs while we also choreograph the dances and our performances are well received,” he added.

He said Black Uhuru, which is in the process of compiling an album, has recorded two singles to date titled Sizwangendaba and Kasi lasentumbane.

During the event whose entrance fee is pegged at five dollars, T-shirts will be on sale to increase the group’s visibility.

Black Uhuru is mostly known in Entumbane and surrounding surburbs where they entertain at weddings, in sports bars and various functions.
