White City was refurbished last year for African Union Sports Council Region 5 Under-20 Youth Games that were held in December.

BAB chairman Manuel Mpofu said yesterday: “We have moved the track and field to Saturday (tomorrow) because we want to capture all the ten provinces since it would be a selection event and then the cross-country has been shifted to Sunday because it’s a selection for the Bulawayo team.

We want athletes and officials to have enough time to travel back home for Monday to work and school.

“We will be having the track and field at White City from 9am to 1pm  and the cross-country will be at Luveve High school at 9am on Sunday, we have informed all the ten provinces clubs and schools  who are to participate in the event,” Mpofu said.

Athletes from both female and male categories will participate in all sprint events (100m to 400m), middle-distance category (800m to 3 000m) and in field events.

The cross-country event will be used to select the final team to represent Bulawayo at the national cross-country championship pencilled for February 14 at Kadoma Sports Club.
