FORMER Zambia’s Zesco United left-back Zimiseleni Moyo is training with Highlanders and could be the defender targeted by coach Bongani Mafu as Bosso rush to submit their squad with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) today.

FORTUNE MBELE SPORTS REPORTER Mafu is on record saying he is searching for a striker and a defender and with a Ghanaian forward said to be on the way to Bosso and Moyo at training, the coach could be settling for the two to finalise his squad.

The Highlanders coach yesterday said he had not called anyone, but he was not going to chase anybody away from training, adding that if he was impressed, he would not hesitate to sign him.

“I did not call him, but I cannot be seen to be chasing anyone away from training,” he said.

“If they impress me, I will sign them. But I think I am done. I have done most of my positional pickings. It is almost there. I have the big chunk of my players. I think I now have 90% of the squad.”

Meanwhile, as revealed by this paper, the Bulawayo giants have finally secured the services of Bantu Rovers players Obadiah Tarumbwa, Nqobizitha Masuku and Teenage Hadebe to bolster their squad for the 2015 Castle Lager PSL season.

Bosso chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede yesterday confirmed that Tshintsha Guluva had released the three players on a one-year loan agreement, which sources said is valued at $3 000 for each player.

“We have discussed with Bantu Rovers and they have released the three players to our care,” Gumede said.

“They have given us their conditions. But what you may need to know is that they will be with us for one year. I have just finished discussing with the players on the many benefits of playing for Highlanders, a big club.

“They (the players) have given me their expectations and I am taking them to our finance committee.”

Masuku has tried his luck at FC Platinum. With today the last day for the submission of the 30 players to the PSL, Highlanders still had former skipper Innocent Mapuranga and Valentine Ndaba at training yesterday.

The two had reportedly been put on the waiting list.
