A BULAWAYO non-profit organisation, Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust has received yet another global award — the Most Impactful Organisation for Underprivileged Communities International Awards hosted by Acquisition International United Kingdom.

This is the eighth award the organisation has received in two months.

“Honestly, I’m speechless. I have never known someone who has won back-to-back awards like this,” Iris Mhlanga, the co-ordinator of the trust said.

“I was nominated for various awards in March and was shortlisted in April, all I knew was that they were in the final stages of judging and then yesterday late afternoon I was emailed and told I had won.”

Mhlanga so far has won the Women Icon 2024; Women Changing the World finalist in 2 categories; Global Woman Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs; Global Icon 2024; Great Companies Women Entrepreneur of the year 2024; Most Dedicated Humanitarian Aid Businesswoman 2024 (Zimbabwe) and Most Impactful Organisation for Underprivileged Communities 2024 — Zimbabwe.

“This means a lot not only to me, but the team behind the scenes. I am just the face of it, all the awards are due to community effort, it's not just about me,” Mhlanga, who could also possibly land the Women Changing the World Award later this month, said.
