THE MDC will launch its election manifesto in Binga, party president Welshman Ncube said.
Report by Khulani Nkabinde
Ncube told his supporters on Saturday that his party had deliberately chosen to launch the manifesto in Binga as it is “a place that has for long been neglected”.
“As MDC, we represent the interests of the marginalised,” he said. “Binga has always been left out in this country.”
Ncube said the Binga launch, which will be in two weeks’ time, was an indication that the party was aware of the challenges the people of the district faced.
“We represent the downtrodden, the suffering and those who have been left out for the past 32 years in this country,” he said.
“We will let you know about the exact date. On that day, we want you to come in numbers and attend the launch.”
Ncube said his party had successfully fought for devolution in the new Constitution, as it wanted all the provinces to be empowered.
