The MDC-T, Mavambo Kusile Dawn and Zanu Ndonga on Monday formally announced they had entered into a coalition for change in a bid to garner the majority votes during the forthcoming harmonised elections.

Announcing the coalition during a press conference at a Harare hotel, MKD president Simba Makoni said the three parties agreed to support MDC-T candidate Morgan Tsvangirai in the Presidential race.

Makoni who spoke on behalf of Tsvangirai and Zanu Ndonga’s Reketai Semwayo said initially they had envisaged a grand coalition which would include the MDC led by Welshman Ncube and Zapu led by Dumiso Dabengwa, but they had failed to agree.

He said the three parties were still open to organisations or political parties that wanted to join them in their quest to bring change to Zimbabwe.
