The show has been pencilled for August 8 to 10. The 56th edition will run under the theme “Promoting Innovations that Work”. Gwanda Agricultural Show secretary Percy Vela confirmed the developments to Southern Eye Lifestyle.

“Preparations are at an advanced stage and the entertainment for the show is organised,” Vela said. “Jeyz Marabini and his Kuzekulunge band will start the show and he will be supported by other artistes such as Vumbachikwe Sounds,” Vela added.

“We have a lot of activities lined up for the show, a lot of musicians, dancers, poets are expected to provide entertainment and Jeyz will be our main act as he performs on the last day. ” Jeys Marabini urged people to come in their numbers.

“Matabeleland South is our region and I am happy to be performing infront of people I know, some who I know personally and grew up with and also my elders,” he said.

“I urge all to come and support us. Support Gwanda and the arts,” Jeys added. A traditional Tswana dance group, Bolamba dancers, will be guest performers and are set to lighten up the show as part of a cultural exchange between Zimbabwe and Botswana.
