The five-member group is comprised of Pastor Joyce Mungofa, Ida Mangwiro, Thobekile Nleya, Abigal Mwembe and Qolani Mlangeni.

The eldest member of the group Mungofa (46) confirmed the show to Southern Eye Lifestyle.

“The show is meant to revive the dying gospel music in the city and to incorporate more women in the genré,” she said.

Mungofa added that the event was for everyone in the city.

“It is not only about us, but for all in the city especially women. We are calling all to come and join our group as it is open for anyone to give a helping hand in the music industry,” she said.

The group sings Afro-jazz and traditional gospel songs.

Mungofa revealed that a lot of activities would be on offer on the day, with cultural dances, poetry, and singing, among others.

“We promise nothing but manifestation of hidden talent. The city has a lot of talent that needs exposure and on the day it will be exposed to the world,” she said.

Mungofa and Mangwiro have solo albums titled Lord We Worship You and Tatenda, respectively.

“We want to build a culture of gospel music in the city and with individuals so that we take this movement a long way,” Mangwiro added.

Popular gospel musician Dumie Nyongolo will also perform on the day.

The group formed this year, is looking forward to make the concert an annual show and also to get more members and grow to be the best group in the country.
