The match, which falls on a Fifa international date, kicks off at 5pm and will be handled by match officials from Uganda.

In the past, Zifa has faced financial difficulties in fulfilling international matches, but with the Warriors having qualified for the third edition of the African Nations Championships (Chan), the national association has put in place a hectic programme for the team.

A match against Mozambique has been set for Barbourfields Stadium on December 8, another is in place against Guinea in early January while a camp is also being planned for the Chan finals, set to take place in South Africa next year.

According to the Daily News of Tanzania, apart from honouring the Fifa date, Kim Poulsen’s charges are also treating the match as an international trial for the forthcoming Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup kicking off in Kenya on November 27.

The Warriors, who are placed 102th in the Fifa ranking, will be a good test for Poulsen’s lads who are in 129th position.

If the hosts emerge winners today they will definitely go up the ladder.

The Warriors left in two batches, with the first leaving at 2am and the other following at 11am. Coach Ian Gorowa, Tapuwa Kapini and Carlington Nyadombo linked from South Africa to Tanzania and will all congregate at 7pm in Dar es Salaam.

There was also space in the team for How Mine duo Warren Dube and Simba Sithole while the Dynamos trio of Simba Sithole, Patson Jaure and Ocean Mushure were also part of the travelling contingent.

From Hwange, Gorowa picked up three players — Nkosana Siwela, Gerald Ndlovu and Isaac Masame while Chicken Inn wonderboy Kuda Mahachi also made the trip. The team is expected back tomorrow to wind up preparations for the weekend matches that will bring the curtain down on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
