The grand finale is set for December 6-7 at Sharons Haven Mall in Bulawayo.

The modelling agency has in the past produced brilliant artistes such as top model Bianca Edwards, Miss Southern Africa Malaika Mushandu and Miss Earth Dimitra Markou who went on to dazzle international scenes with mesmerising catwalks.

Amanda Mutangadura, the casting director of the agency, told Southern Lifestyle yesterday the event dubbed “Face of AM Model Management Model Search” seeks to identify and nurture talents of young artistes with potential.

“We want to scout capable upcoming artistes in all arts fields with particular focus to modelling because it is one of the world’s fast growing industries although in Zimbabwe it is suppressed.

“We want someone whom we can work with in our charity events since one of the core business of the agency is reaching out to our communities,” the former model said.

The modelling agency recently donated clothes and books to Face of AM contestants and will be donating to John Smale Children’s Home in Bulawayo.

Mutangadura said they had conducted online auditions although interested artistes were still free to visit their offices situated at Sharons Haven Mall in Bulawayo.

“We did online auditions and office auditions at our offices at Sharons Haven Mall. If anyone thinks they have what it takes, they can still contact us,” she said.

She also said the event will coincide with a Christmas Family Fair, an annual X-mas party organised by the modelling group for everyone.

Rising showbiz darling Mbo Mahocs will be the guest model while the city’s most decorated model, Tholakele Dlamini, will be part of the adjudication panel.

“So we expect a bang with lots of fun,” the former cat walker quipped.
