Majalisa in top-drawer performance

POPULAR South African Afro-pop legend Patricia Majalisa put up a top-drawer performance last Friday night at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre at an event dubbed “Music Explosion”.

The Afro-pop star graced the stage around midnight and left revellers asking for more.

Local outfit Ndolwane Super Sounds warmed up the stage as they also put up an electrifying performance.

S’lindile Mthinyane of the song Usibonisele Ubukhulu Bakho Baba also took her act to the stage to the delight of the fans.

Mpendulo Dandile also gave fans something to dance to before Majalisa came on the stage.

Clad in a gold outfit, Majalisa sent fans wild in cheers as she walked onto the stage.

The musician belted out her hit tracks such as Akulalwa Ziyawa, Kumnandi and Ephathini.

The songstress told fans that she respected them and was grateful for the support.

“People here in Zimbabwe love me and they have got my back. I have to give back the love they deserve,” she said.

Kingston Lussate, one of the organisers of the show, was happy with the performances and the attendance.

“Majalisa has done what she knows best and also the fans came out in their numbers to support. We are grateful. We have a lot lined up for Bulawayo this festive season,” he said.

Majalisa has been in the industry since 1987 when she was under the Dalom stable owned by her former husband Dan Tshanda.
