Kalawa Jazmee back

POPULAR South African house music power house Kalawa Jazmee is set to serenade Bulawayo fans this festive season with a gig dubbed “Kalawa Jazmee Homecoming Invasion”.

The crew led by Oscar “Oskido” Mdlongwa is scheduled to perform at Queens Cricket Club on December 27.

Information obtained by Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday said the show will begin in the afternoon until the next day featuring a rich line-up of more than ten Kalawa Jazmee members including Oskido, Doctor Malinga, Professor, DJ Zinhle, Berita, Tony Digital, Candy, Character, Thebe and Pepsi.

Show co-ordinator Vusimuzi Siqalaba said the show was a way of giving back to Bulawayo fans.

“The gig is meant to celebrate the festive season with our fellow Zimbabweans based in the Diaspora who would have come back for the holiday — we celebrate with music that holds people together,” Siqalaba said.

“It is also an opportunity for Kalawa Jazmee to plant back the love and support that they have been shown by their Zimbabwean fans. The crew is happy and appreciates the support from Bulawayo and holding such an event is vital for both artistes and fans.”

He said local disc jockeys would support the South Africans. “This will give them a great platform to share what they can do, and also sharing the decks with such artistes helps them grow into better artistes.”

Oskido will on Christmas Day host an all-white party at Stop Over.
