Revellers started flocking to the venue as early as 6pm and by 10pm it was fully packed.

There were long queues outside the venue as late as midnight.

Local DJs warmed the stage until midnight where Bulawayo born Berita Khumalo opened with chart topper Thando Lwethu.

Her 10-minute performance left the crowd in the mood for a party that lasted until Saturday morning.

She was followed on stage by South Africa’s first lady of house music DJ Zinhle who, however, failed to live up to her billing. But Y tjukujta hit makers Uhuru somehow atoned for her shortcomings as they set the stage alight.

Other Kalawa artistes such as character, Heavy K and Professor put scintillating performances as the crowd eagerly awaited for Oskido.

The godfather of house music took to the stage at 6 am and immediately vowed that the party would not end before 11 am.

Revellers started trooping out of the venue at 7 am, but Oskido was still in his element, keeping the crowd on its feet.
